Sierra Leone recorded 1.15% and 0.86% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was higher compared to Benin (1.12%), Ivory Coast (0.79%), Ghana (0.47%), Guinea (0.82%), Liberia (0.46%), Mali (0.79%), Niger (0.17%), Nigeria (0.66%), Senegal (0.80%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.81%) and the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.89%). However, increases in total cases in Burkina Faso (14.54%), Cape Verde (4.04%), Gambia (1.28%), Togo (1.94%), Africa (1.55%), Europe (2.74%), North America (1.78%), South America (2.14%), Asia (4.22%) and the World (2.70%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Togo (8.18%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (2.27%), Ivory Coast (0/84%), Gambia (3.00%), Ghana (3.16%), Nigeria (0.65%), Senegal (1.37%), MRU (0.30%), ECOWAS (1.12%), Africa (1.35%), Europe (0.44%), North America (0.92%), South America (1.58%), Asia (3.14%) and the World (1.38%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (8.31%), Burkina Faso (0.89%), Cape Verde (4.02), Ivory Coast (1.19%), Gambia (8.91%), Ghana (0.93%), Guinea (1.77%), Liberia (1.17%), Senegal (2.06%), Togo (3.26%), MRU (1.35%), ECOWAS (1.33%), Africa (2.84%), Europe (1.14%), North America (2.79%), South America (3.07%), Asia (4.75%) and the World (3.33%). Mali (0.79%), Niger (0.36%) and Nigeria (0.77%) recorded lower increase in total recoveries compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
