Sierra Leone recorded 0.13% and 0.17% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from last Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.89%), Cape Verde (1.89%), Ivory Coast (0.21%), Ghana (1.45%), Guinea (0.55%), Liberia (2.05%), Mali (1.41%), Niger (2.06%), Nigeria (0.57%), Senegal (0.28%), Togo (1.31%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.39%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.81%), Africa (1.59%), Europe (4.50%), North America (3.06%), South America (1.22%), Asia (1.46%) and World (2.56%). However, increase in total cases was lower in Gambia (0.03%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Europe (3.12%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (1.49%), Mali (0.72%) Nigeria (0.09%), Senegal (0.31%), Togo (1.69%), ECOWAS (0.18%), Africa (1.19%), North America (1.10%), South America (0.88%), Asia (1.44%) and the World (1.60%). Benin, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Cape Verde (2.80%), Gambia (0.23%), Ghana (0.70%), Guinea (1.49%), Liberia (0.23%), Mali (0.58%), Nigeria (0.33%), Togo (3.57%), MRU (0.56%), ECOWAS (0.59%), Africa (1.34%), Europe (5.36%), North America (2.03%), South America (2.89%), Asia (1.36%) and the World (2.41%). Increase in total recoveries in Burkina Faso (0.08%), Ivory Coast (0.13%), Niger (0.09%) and Senegal (0.14%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
