Sierra Leone recorded 0.61% and 0.16% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (2.01%), Burkina Faso (5.70%), Cape Verde (0.85%), Ghana (0.70%), Liberia (5.79%), Mali (2.28%), Niger (1.68%), Nigeria (2.30%), Senegal (1.11%), Togo (1.50%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.39%), Africa (1.64%), Europe (2.45%), North America (2.55%), South America (1.34%), Asia (1.11%) and World (1.92%). However, increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.17%), Gambia (0.11%), Guinea (0.13%), Guinea-Bissau (0.12%) and Manor River Union or MRU (0.42%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone.
Mali (3.98%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (2.82%), Nigeria (0.25%), Senegal (0.57%), ECOWAS (0.50%), Africa (1.36%), Europe (2.89%), North America (1.87%), South America (0.82%), Asia (1.01%) and the World (1.75%). Benin, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (5.03%), Cape Verde (0.63%), Ivory Coast (0.22%), Ghana (0.55%), Guinea-Bissau (1.75%), Liberia (3.53%), Mali (1.98%), Niger (2.70%), Nigeria (0.70%), Senegal (1.18%), Togo (2.26%), MRU (0.30%), ECOWAS (1.28%), Africa (1.63%), Europe (3.64%), North America (2.89%), South America (1.40%), Asia (1.35%) and the World (2.14%). Increase in total recoveries in Guinea (0.11%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Gambia (0.16%) recorded the same increase in total recoveries as Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
