Sierra Leone recorded 0.94% and 0.18% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (2.80%), Cape Verde (3.27%), Gambia (1.31%), Guinea-Bissau (1.23%), Togo (1.99%), Africa (1.27%), Europe (3.20%), North America (1.44%), South America (1.89%), Asia (2/76%) and the World (2.18%). However increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.36%), Ghana (0.23%), Guinea (0.76%), Liberia (0.15%), Mali (0.84%), Niger (0.08%), Nigeria (0.62%), Senegal (0.53%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.51%) and the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.61%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total cases.
Cape Verde (6.38%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Gambia (0.93%), Ghana (0.34%), Nigeria (0.27%), Senegal (0.67%), Togo (2.50%), ECOWAS (0.43%), Africa (1.12%), Europe (0.58%), North America (0.98%), South America (1.36%), Asia (2.15%) and the World (2.20%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (0.41%) Burkina Faso (0.95%), Cape Verde (2.66%), Ivory Coast (0.56%), Gambia (6.59%), Ghana (0.39%), Guinea (0.50%), Mali (0.91%), Nigeria (0.90%), Senegal (2.74%), Togo (1.71%), MRU (0.50%), ECOWAS (0.91%), Africa (1.25%), Europe (3.20%), North America (1.81%), South America (2.02%), Asia (3.20%) and the World (2.45%). Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
