Sierra Leone recorded 2.59% and 2.59% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was higher compared to Burkina Faso (2.50%), Cape Verde (1.32%), Gambia (1.26%), Guinea (0.79%), Guinea-Bissau (0.88%), Liberia (0.78%), Mali (0.73%), Niger (1.53%), the Manor River Union or MRU (2.17%), Africa (1.90%), Europe (1.72%), North America (1.88%), South America (1.44%), Asia (0.87%) and the world (1.53%). However, percentage increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (2.97%), Ghana (4.46%), Nigeria (4.11%), Senegal (3.24%), Togo (3.01%) and the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (3.37%) was higher compared to Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total cases.
Burkina Faso (9.35%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (4.10%), Ivory Coast (2.10%), Ghana (3.05%), Mali (0.93%), Niger (0.67%), Nigeria (1.14%), Senegal (3.74%), Togo (2.70%), MRU (0.78%), ECOWAS (1.93%), Africa (2.62%), Europe (1.85%), North America (1.73%), South America (1.24%), Asia (0.83%) and the world (1.56%). Benin, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was higher compared to Cape Verde (1.28%), Gambia (0.51%), Ghana (2.55%), Guinea (1.33%), Guinea-Bissau (0.67%), Liberia (0.70%), Mali (0.84%), Togo (1.99%), MRU (2.13%), Europe (2.27%), South America (1.65%), Asia (1.06%) and the world (1.92%). However, increase in percentage of total recoveries in Burkina Faso (6.41%), Ivory Coast (2.64%), Niger (2.67%), Nigeria (4.49%), Senegal (2.95%), ECOWAS (3.16%), Africa (2.92%) and North America (2.63%) was higher compared to Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
