Sierra Leone recorded 0.49% and 0.58% increase in COVID-19 total infections and total recoveries respectively in 144 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Sunday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total infections was lower compared to Cape Verde (0.62%), Ivory Coast (0.62%), Guinea (0.80%), Liberia (1.73%), Niger (0.76%), Senegal (0.59%), Togo (0.52%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.70%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.55%), Africa (1.52%), Europe (0.76%), North America (0.61%), South America (3.43%), Asia (3.39%) and the world (1.96%). However, percentage increase in total infections was lower in Benin (0.41%), Burkina Faso (0.12%), Gambia (0.37%), Ghana (0.21%), Guinea-Bissau (0.32%), Mali (0.18%) and Nigeria (0.18%) compared to Sierra Leone.
Asia (4.71%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (0.61%), Cape Verde (2.73%), Ivory Coast (1.68%), Gambia (1.71%), Ghana (0.13%), Guinea (1.90%), Liberia (1.18%), Mali (0.78%), Nigeria (0.19%), Senegal (0.53%), MRU (1.45%), ECOWAS (0.56%), Europe (0.86%), North America (0.95%), South America (3.17%), Asia (4.71%) and the world (2.13%). Benin, Guinea-Bissau, Niger, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Cape Verde (6.24%), Ivory Coast (0.64%), Gambia (0.70%), Guinea (1.31%), Guinea-Bissau (1.09%), Mali (2.75%), Niger (0.99%), Togo (3.45%), MRU (0.83%), ECOWAS (0.84%), Africa (1.46%), Europe (1.61%), North America (1.36%) South America (3.40%), Asia (5.24%) and the world (2.92%). Percentage increase in total recoveries was lower in Burkina Faso (0.17%), Ghana (0.37%), Liberia (0.54%), Nigeria (0.06%) and Senegal (0.54%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
