Sierra Leone recorded 0.34% and 0.28% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (3.36%), Cape Verde (1.48%), Guinea (1.58%), Mali (0.89%), Nigeria (0.42%), Togo (1.54%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.74%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.44%), Africa (1.19%), Europe (5.17%), North America (1.72%), South America (1.22%), Asia (1.28%) and World (2.14%). Increases in total cases in Burkina Faso (0.28%), Gambia (0.03%), Liberia (0.21%), Niger (0.25%) and Senegal (0.11%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Ivory Coast (0.34%) recorded the same increase in total cases as Sierra Leone. Ghana and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Mali (2.26%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Ivory Coast (1.64%), Nigeria (0.62%), Togo (1.89%), MRU (0.57%), ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.27%), Europe (1.89%), North America (1.00%), South America (0.85%), Asia (1.16%) and the World (1.20%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Senegal and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.79%), Cape Verde (3.30%), Guinea (0.30%), Nigeria (0.91%), Senegal (1.74%), Togo (0.75%), ECOWAS (0.64%), Africa (1.03%), Europe (2.76%), North America (1.67%), South America (1.43%), Asia (1.48%) and the World (1.63%). Increase in recoveries in Ivory Coast (0.14%), Gambia (0.23%), Mali (0.11%), Niger (0.27%) and MRU (0.19%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
