Kallon fail to win three in a row

So, FC Kallon went to Kenema on Sunday to win. They needed a win to at least delay Lions from winning the trophy. But, yet again they slumped to another draw. The draw with Kamboi Eagles means they have now gone three games without a win, two draws and a loss.

FC Kallon’s season is over. They are guaranteed 2nd place, no matter what happens.

For Kamboi Eagles this was an improved performance. Considering their troubles before now. But, this is their 4th game without a win. They can still finish 3rd. they have a game in hand over third place Ports Authority.

Lions are the champions

When they played on Friday against FCFC, they knew they needed four points to win. This meant they should have waited at least one more game before winning the league. But FC Kallon helped them to an early win after they drew in Kenema 1-1.

This means Lions have won the Premier league title with two games to spare. They have also won it unbeaten. They still have two games to go and that might change but who can fault this team even if they lose their next two games.

Bo gets back to old habits

Bo Rangers lost their last home game of the season against Anti-Drugs. This was their first defeat in 10 matches. Remarkable!

This was a sure win for Rangers. Kamboi Eagles had just defeated this same Anti-Drugs team 4-0 in Kenema. With just one game to go, this defeat might still mean something big.

Bo Rangers are 8th but all the other teams below them can either equal their tally or overtake them on points. All this would depend on the results of the last match day. Rangers play FC Kallon in their final fixture. Kallon don’t have anything to play for again, so may be, just may be Rangers can pick a point or all three.

Whatever happens now, Anti-Drugs are guaranteed to finish in the relegation zone. The win in Bo was their third victory of the season, no team has won less in the division.

Ports flood Kono

Two defeats in a row for Diamond Stars. And this defeat was gut wrenching. Diamond Stars have now taking the highest home defeat followed by Anti-Drugs. A 4-0 loss by a team like Diamond Stars is so surprising. Before now they haven’t lost a game in this second leg, until the defeat in Bo.

Ports Authority will hope to consolidate their position in the table.

RSLAF resurrection continues

On Sunday night, RSLAF made it two straight wins in a row by defeating Old Edwardians by 2-0. RSLAF are still 12th on the table. They have two games to go. If they win both games, they could finally get out of the relegation zone.

Old Edwardians new momentum have been halted in the past month. With just one game to go they need results to go their way to stay out of the relegation zone.

Whatever happens now, this has been a very bad season for both teams.
