A delegation of the National Cycling Association (NCA) has left Freetown by road for the Ivory Coast to take part in the 20th edition of the tour of Ivory Coast which has been described as the Tour of Reconciliation.
Team Captain Moses Sesay told politico that he was prepared to face the competition in the Ivory Coast, noting that his performance in past competitions will see him through and assured the nation that his team will bring home medals.
The race starts in Touba, in the North-West of the country. This is the second time Sierra Leone is taking part in the competition.
The delegation comprises 5 Cyclists and two officials. The cyclists are Moses Sesay, Augustine Sesay, Hilary Garber, Arnold Bangura and Mohamed Thorley. The officials are Councilor Percy Nicolson and Chernor M Bah.
