Sierra Leone Premier League club, Old Edwardians have started their search for a coach.  The Western Area powerhouse parted with two coaches last season following bad performances and a string of bad results.

The Public Relations Officer of the team, Alhaji Mansaray told Politico that they are looking to win the league next season and represent the country in continental tournaments.

“We are looking forward to win the league and represent the country in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup,” Mansaray said.

Old Edwardians have not disclosed how many people have applied for the vacant position, but Mansaray said the interest in the job is high.

He said, “We have had several applications in and out of the country.”

Last season the team finished just above the relegation zone in 10th position, following a torrid campaign. This season there is pressure for them to step up and perform better.

Already they have lost one of their key players, Suffian Kalokoh to Bo Rangers. He was on loan to Edwards from AIK Freetong. Edwards have remained quiet about their transfer business. With less than a month to go till the start of the new season, there is no telling how much preparations they are doing in the shadows for the 2019/2020 Sierra Leone Premier League season.
