SHEIK JAGABAN AND THE FAKE IG SAGA
We want to alert movie producers to the guy we know in good old Sierra Leone as Sheik Jagaban. In the few days he’s spent trying to give himself some relevance in Sierra Leone politics, he’s put so much in that public domain that the producers should be able to do a movie with him as the main character before the end of 2023. And such a movie would bring in hundreds of thousands of US dollars.
After many years in the US, the heavily bearded man turned up in Freetown and expressed his burning wish to be made the running mate to Orsamu of the main opposition Red Movement in the coming elections. He announced himself in a big way with his supporters telling the world the guy is worth FIFTY MILLION US dollars. We were told he owned petrol stations, several properties in the US, employing hundreds.
The next few weeks witnessed a massive open source investigation of the main claims made by Sheik Jagaban. We can only describe the information that turned up as interesting. It turned out that Sheik Jagaban was not even on the shortlist of candidates for the running mate position in the Red Movement. The guy and his supporters went quiet. There was even talk that he bought a power bullet proof vehicle for Orsamu. We can’t find the evidence to support that.
The latest around Sheik Jagaban is that some not so clever guys easily transferred more than ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND New Leones from his bank account to theirs. Sheik Jagaban was made to believe that he was being nice to the nation’s Police Boss – that guy who doesn’t smile. By the time Sheik Jagaban realized he’d fallen in the wrong hands, the criminals were already congratulating each other after a good day at the office.
This is a plot line that many people with deep pockets should be ready to sponsor with little difficulty. We are not asking for any fee for alerting you guys to this. All we want is for you guys to acknowledge our effort when you collect your prize at the film festival in Burkina Faso.
LADIES PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ACHRAF HAKIMI
Maybe all our sisters around the world have come to this conclusion already but we want to put it on record. We want to have something to refer to next time we get news of Achraf Hakimi hiding his money from another woman. We are talking about the Moroccan football superstar who plays club football in France. Hakimi shouldn’t be allowed to hang around with any other woman as long as he believes he did the right thing by hiding his wealth from the mother of his children, using his mother as a Swiss bank.
There’s mixed reaction around the world, as expressed on social media about this Oscar winning performance by Hakimi. He has a lot of people on his side. They have powerful arguments with real time evidence of people of great wealth that have had to share a big portion of their money with women who came into their lives primarily to lay hands on money. We acknowledge that. In other cases, particularly in the west, wealthy men find themselves being constantly accused of sexual harassment or even rape with every out of court settlement taking millions of dollars from their bank accounts. We are aware of all of that.
As far as Hakimi is concerned we believe he took matters a bit too far. The reports we are reading tell of the man passing his entire wealth to his mother not out of love for the old woman but just so that his wife, the mother of his children is kept miles and miles away from the big money he is making as a PSG player. We’re told that his mother does his shopping for things as basic as his underwear. What kind of sick joke is that?
Anyway, this guy should spend the rest of his life with his mother and stay away from our sisters. And that rape trial in France is looming for Hakimi. We wish him well but judges are also human and they may have read this Mother Swiss Bank story. We pray for justice to be done but let there be no doubt about that, the judge would remember that the greediest guy who should be mentioned in the Guinness Book of records was the man in the dock.
BO RANGERS MUST SAVE KAMBOI EAGLES FROM RELEGATION
The way things are going now with Kamboi Eagles of Kenema should alarm all football fans in Sierra Leone. It’s not just a Kenema thing. We know it hurts them most but Kenema was the biggest recruiting area for our national team outside Freetown. They still have that potential but things are really bad right now. The Kamboi Eagles team is heading for relegation. There is no sign either on the field of play or among the managers of the team that some dramatic change might occur any time soon to stop them falling apart.
Last week we watched Kamboi Eagles take a nasty defeat from FC Kallon in front of their supporters. FC Kallon is a good team but there was nothing extraordinary about the performance in that match. As the goals went in we could feel the disappointment and anger in the stands and at a point it threatened to boil over.
We cannot confirm this but people close to the Team Manager told us that the guy has pledged to do his best and keep the team going until the end of this season before quitting. His friends say he is tired of insults and threats to his safety and that of his family. We hope he is not harmed.
Here’s what we think should happen immediately:
1. Kamboi Eagles should approach their neighbors, Bo Ranger and ask for at least four of their players on loan. Bo Rangers have many players that are not even always in the match day squad that are capable to turn things around in the east. There’s no shame about that.
2. Kamboi Eagles should not even think about lack of money to service those loans. It is in the interest of Bo Rangers to release some of those players till the end of the season so they can get good playing time and keep fit. The loan should not come with any option to buy. Kenema is no threat to Bo in the table so there’s no good reason to block those loan deals.
3. The captain and players on Kamboi Eagles should forget about short term political donations and engage the people of the district for small donations. They can link up with the many radio station in that district and ask the people for help. Kenema people are very proud. They can rescue their team. Harassing or sacking the current management shames the whole district.
SADIO MANE LANDS A SENEGALESE PUNCH OF SHAME
So here’s a case of two Senegalese playing football for the German side Bayern Munich. We are talking about Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane. Mane is holding on to his nationality as a Senegalese while Sane is German, obviously because he was born and bred there. Maybe that’s just part of the reason.
Anyway, their team was recently thrown out of the European Champions League by Manchester City. Bayern were just not serious. They had many opportunities to win both legs of the tie but they messed up. They have paid the price.
We now know that after their first leg defeat in England, there was some uneasiness in the tunnel leading to their dressing room and Sadio landed a powerful right hand on the lips of his brother. Bayern didn’t want to admit that such a thing happened but they finally suspended and fined Sadio and by the look of things he is on his way out of the club he recently joined.
Mane was a very big player in Liverpool where he achieved a lot. He then left for Bayern and is now being put on the bench for Sane. Sane is a rude and selfish player. In the end he wins because he is German and he plays for Germany. We call on Mr. Mane to please move to France now. Take care bro!
