Koinadugu accountant on the run

The Accountant of the Koinadugu District Council, Aruna Samba Kanu is on the run. According to the chief administrator of the council, Sahr Emmanuel Yambasu the accountant has been away for three weeks without any idea about his whereabouts. He said they had tried all means of reaching him without success and that he left without an official excuse.

IMC, WIMSAL angry at media

The independent Media Commission (IMC) and Women in the Media (WIMSAL) have denounced the actions of certain media houses in the alleged rape allegations between the now-sacked Deputy Minister of Education, Mahmoud Tarawallie and a university student.

In two separate press releases issued on Tuesday the institutions said the privacy of the complainant had been invaded.

Varsity prepares students for job market

The former commercial manager of the mobile communication network, Comium, has called on final year students of Fourah Bay College to become entrepreneurs. Lawrence Coker said not all of them would be “employed after graduation” because of the non-availability of job opportunities in the country.
