Magistrate Mark Ngegba has remanded one Foday Kamara on the allegation of obtaining three hundred million old Leones (Le 300,000,000) from the complainant, Josephus Sallu Mannah by falsely pretending that he owned a piece of land for sale.
The prosecution alleges that on diverse dates between January 1st, 2021, and December 31, 2022, the accused obtained money from the complainant for a plot of land at Mammah Beach in the Western Area Rural District.

A 33-year-old man has appeared before Magistrate Mark Ngegba in Freetown charged with the illegal possession of a pistol without a valid license.
Alimamy Kargbo, nicknamed Shakur, a mobile phone mechanic of 29 Bangura Street was allegedly found in possession of a black Hellcat pistol with serial number: BB 205218 (9X18) Springfield Armory, at the Kono Lorry Park, Waterloo.

Former Presidential Candidate of the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) party, Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara has at the end of the Dialogue between his political party and the Government of Sierra Leone to end a post-election dispute, described the outcome as a win-win for all.

Sierra Leoneans working at Sierra Tropical Limited have complained of poor conditions of service and maltreatment by their foreign employers. The situation degenerated into a standoff, which saw the intervention of Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, Mohamed Rahman Swaray.
The workers in a meeting with government representatives claimed disrespect by the expatriate staff, being denied the right to express their views, having to do additional work, and withholding of their NASSIT payment.

The Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, Mohamed Rahman Swaray has said less than ten percent of journalists pay their National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT).
Minister Swaray was speaking in a weekly press conference of the Ministry of Information and Civic Education held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Freetown on 17th October this year.
