WAFU tournament: Shooting Starlets set up camp in Kenema

NP-SL renovates FBC Squash Court

In order to boost sports on the campus, the management of NP Sierra Leone Limited (NP-SL) has renovated and handed over a Squash court building to the Fourah Bay College (FBC) administration.

The handing-over ceremony was done at the Squash court environment located at the Havelock Grounds on the 11th of May, 2023.

In his opening statement, General Manager (GM) of NP-SL Saidu Mansaray noted that over the past years, the petroleum company has endeavored to support education, health, and sport.

Sierra Leone to host Nigeria in Liberia

The Sierra Leone men’s National Team, Leone Stars is set to host the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports complex in Monrovia, Liberia in the upcoming Total Energies African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 qualifying match.

The match is scheduled for the 18th June, 2023.

This was confirmed by a news brief from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on the 12th May, 2023 after receiving the approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the said Stadium to be the host venue

Bo Rangers fan club blasts FC Kallon

The Fan Club of Bo Rangers Football Club has in a press release dated 8th May, 2023 criticized FC Kallon regarding another press release  dated 3rd May, 2023, asking their fans to boycott their match against Bo Rangers in Bo.

The FC Kallon release was citing repeated hostility, aggression and desperation displayed by the Bo Rangers fans against them during their last three meetings which prompted them to ask their supporters to boycott the match.

FC Kallon suffer defeat and mass resignations

FC Kallon were defeated in Bo last week by defending champions and current league leaders, Bo Rangers. Two goals from goal machine Abu Komeh from the spot and Musa Tombo condemned the Cavaliers to the sixth defeat in the current season leaving them 14 points behind Bo Rangers.

In a night of glitz WPLB hands over trophy to Mogbwemo Queens

The Women’s Premier League Board (WPLB) has handed over the golden league Champions trophy to Mogbwemo Queens from Rutile area, the winners of the first ever Women’s League held in Sierra Leone.

The handing over  took place at an Awards ceremony  at the City Hall, Freetown last Friday, to mark the close of the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League 2022/2023 season.
