The chairman of premier league side, Anti-Drugs Strikers, Alhaji Unisa Alim ‘Awoko’ Sesay has slammed the Press Release issued by the Ministry of Sports and the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Tuesday evening making match-fixing allegations against national team players, referees and football administrators.
Following a joint press statement issued by the Ministry of Sports and the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on the 15th July suspending him and nine other stakeholders from football activities on allegations of match-fixing, Victor Lewis, chairman of Belvic United FC, has described the SLFA's statement as "unpleasant and malicious".
He said "I have never been involved in any form of match fixing in my entire life, this is the biggest shock in my life, I want the investigation to go on".

The national football team, Leone Stars start training today ahead of their encounter with the Pirates of Seychelles this weekend in Freetown.
According to the Director of Competitions at the Sierra Leone Football association (SLFA) Sorie Ibrahim Sesay more than half of the professional players invited are in town and the others are expected on Wednesday.

The Organising Committee of the African Cup of Nations has disqualified Equatorial Guinea from the playoffs of the Orange African Cup of nations in Morocco 2015.
This decision was reached recently following a protest by the Mauritania Football Federation arising from the first round play-off fixture of 17th May 2014 played in Nouakchott.

The newly appointed head coach of the national U-17 squad Mohamed Kallon has told Politico that he was always ready to serve his country.
“Taking the job is a big opportunity for me, transferring my knowledge in the area of football to these young players at national level is important” said Kallon.
He described his appointment as a test case, after receiving his ‘C’ License in coaching. He said, ‘’the task ahead is heavy but with the support of the SLFA, we will reach our goal’’.

The Airtel Rising Stars Season Four matches have commenced in the provincial towns of Kenema and Kono where qualifiers has emerged.
Last weekend in Kenema, Kallon FC defeated Kahunla Rangers 3-1 on post games penalties to emerge as champions in the boy’s category.
In the girls category Jam Jam FC lost 2-1 to Kahunla Queens.
In Kono Fofanah FC are champions after defeating Sangafully FC 6-5 on postgame penalties in the boy’s category.
