Turf Expert inspect Stadium pitch

The turf expert in the World Football Governing Body, FIFA Dr. Stephen W. Baker on Tuesday 1st October  inspected the pitches of the main bowl of the national stadium and the practice grounds outside "to determine which type of artificial turf was suitable for Sierra Leone.

Swimmers Prepare for Lagos

The Sierra Leone national swimming team has started preparation for the 1st edition of the Lagos International Swimming Classics scheduled for the 6th-11th November 2013 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium  in Lagos respectively.

Fifteen countries including Burkina Faso, Gambia, Senegal, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Mali, Niger, Cameroon and Congo Brazzaville are set to participate in this year`s competition.

‘’The Exposure of the Boys is Vital’’ - Macaulay

The Head Coach of Aramack FC Donald Macaulay has told politico that the 2-0 defeat his team suffered at the hands of Napoli FC on Tuesday 24th September at the Kroobay Football Association (KFA) non-division league does not matter as "the exposure of the boys is very vital to me".

Macaulay said the team was a new one and most of his boys were new to such competitions. ‘You will not expect them to do better as they are not used to such competitions” he said.

COFA Update... Central Community Battles Mount Aureol

Central Community FC will open their Group E match today when they lock horns with Mount Aureole FC at the Parade Grounds in the ongoing Central One Football Association (COFA) Inter Area League.

Coach Ishmael Mammah told Politico that his boys are prepared to take on Mount Aureol and ‘’I have other coaches around me who will make the work easier for me’’.

He said he will bring better players into the team especially young ones because the league provides them a platform to expose their talent.
