WELL DONE SO FAR MASADA. BUT WE HAVE SOME CONCERNS

After a really slow start dogged by politically-inspired challenges by an inefficient Freetown Waste Management Company, MASADA is beginning to hit top marks. Well done!

We know that cleaning Freetown is a very difficult job. And with an American-accented manager, we wonder how those illiterate old men doing the actual cleaning are coping. But she knows her stuff and she sounds great on radio. Good work!

PA KABBAH'S  DEATH: WHAT LESSONS FOR US HERE FOR NOW?

Meteorologists have something to say about the rain that hit different parts of the country over the last few days but we beg that they allow us to believe that the ground is being softened up for the remains of the late president to be lowered into Mother Earth.

SO DE PA IS "BUILDING ON THE FOUNDATION LAID BY PA KAKKAH"?

We are very clear now that Pa Kabbah's 10 years in office was not all about some Sierra Leoneans having "a bad heart".  That is the favourite line from the Kabbah years that government officials us to attack their critics - "BAD HEART".

ANGLICAN BISHOP BARANTA: BUT CAN HE CLEANSE THE TEMPLE?

In Matthew's gospel 21:12&13, the story is told of how Jesus Christ cleared the temple of people trading, gambling and cheating others. In essence the temple had become a market place - just like Abacha Street. Well, this was more than 2,000 years ago and today's temple traders are not as crass as those in 1st century Palestine.

BAN KI MOON IS COMING: WE DROP HIM A FEW HINTS

On behalf of the good people of this great country, we extend a hand of welcome to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. We've been told he's coming here to perform the symbolic closing down of the UN Peace-building outfit (UNIPSIL), the successor organisation of the peacekeeping outfit UNAMSIL that helped bring peace to Sierra Leone after a decade of madness. His itinerary, we imagine, is well planned but here are some gentle hints for the South Korean diplomat.

PAINTED OUTER WALL: WHAT ABOUT INSIDE PADEMBA ROAD JAIL?

What is Sampha Bilo Kamara really up to at the Pademba road jail? We really need this guy to explain. We want answers to many questions. Can the prison service organise a tour of their facilities for a select group of journalists to visit and ask pertinent questions?  But will Bilo really allow this? Considering the fact that a body as important as the Human Rights Commission was stopped from visiting the jail, we have our doubts. But there's no harm trying.
