Even as we write we still can’t tell how many people were killed or wounded when the police tried to put down demonstrations by worker at the African Minerals mining site at Ferengbeya and the general area of Bumbuna. That in itself is a very serious matter.

The Dalai Lama woke up from along self-induced coma the other day and immediately called a news conference. We were among those invited. It was great to once again hear those long and rambling speeches from the Dalai Lama. We left the place convinced that the guy has a lot of catching up to do. He put his former allies to the sword and gave some hints about what he meant by PLAN B when he pontificated at the last SLPP elective conference.

We congratulate all our brothers and sisters who finally shook hands with De Pa at the amphitheatre last weekend to mark the end of their academic sojourn on Mount Olympus...we know that for some it’s only phase one as they will be going into other programmes in the same institutions. God be with them.

Munu has to come truly clean about his real intentions when he put in that curious shopping list that landed very deadly weapons in the hands of the Sierra Leone Police of all people. The IG has since been on many radio stations justifying the purchase of those instruments of death.
