THE GOVERNMENT WHITE PAPER ON THE COI IS COMING

So the much –talked about government white paper on the three Commissions of Inquiry is due for release tomorrow. There’s been a lot of speculation about what the government intends to do with the recommendations of the COI and how adverse the COI recommendations are on officials of the former administration of King Messi. The day of reckoning is very close for those people who cheated their own grandchildren and destroyed their future, just to enjoy the good things of life.

Inspect our bridges now!

There is growing public frustration and anger directed at our local Engineers in the wake of the Savage Street Bridge collapse. People are now saying that numerous bridges across town are in bad shape.  They name the following structures at Tengbeh Town, Krootown road, Old Railway Line, Aberdeen road as the most deplorable and in dire need of repairs.

THE NEXT IMPORTANT STEPS TO MAKE PARLIAMENT FREE OF CORRUPTION

This country is still trying to come to terms with the result of a recent survey Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law, CARL which ranked parliament as one of the FOUR most corrupt institutions in the country. Just before parliament could begin their normal fight back, one of their own went on the BBC World Service to confirm that corrupt practices are taking place in the corridors of that magnificent building on Tower Hill.

A MASSIVE CREDIBILITY TEST FOR PARLIAMENT

Our parliament is now fighting a war to save what is left of its credibility following a recent report in which a national survey named the institution as one of the most CORRUPT in Sierra Leone. That report has been widely quoted in local and international media and things are not looking good for our representatives on TOWER HILL at the moment.
