For particularly those living close to the facility, it was a moment of overwhelming trepidation as the crackle of gunfire and billowing black smoke filled the air on that Wednesday morning.

Hastings Taxi Bikers in Fear Following Violent Robberies
Two brutal attacks on motorbike taxi riders in the Kossoh town/Hastings axis within 24 hours has sent shock waves throughout the somewhat quiet Hastings community and environs. On Thursday a bike rider was set upon by a group of young men at night and his machine wrestled from him, even as he and a colleague who accidentally appeared on the scene, put up resistance.

MARIJUANA SMUGGLING FROM SIERRA LEONE IS GROWING
Yet again we have seen pictures of the hardworking minister of the northwest region standing over a huge consignment of processed and nicely wrapped marijuana that some young men were allegedly trying to smuggle across to neighboring Guinea. We don’t know if that’s the destination but anything is possible once the consignment lands in a country with so many land borders in remote locations and corrupt security officers.
