BLAMING THE BRITISH FOR OUR OWN WAHALA Ayyyyyyyy SALONE

The British Ebola response team in Sierra Leone has come under some fire in the last few days from sections of the media, civil society groups and some ordinary Sierra Leoneans over the impact their work is having on our effort to defeat the virus. References are being made to the good news coming from neighbouring Liberia where the Americans are doing a good job. However, the situation in Liberia is more complex than the media reports. We are in touch with Liberia and we know what's happening on the ground.

LIGHT RETURNS TO KONO BUT VP MISSING IN ACTION AGAIN

Well, as they say, there was LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL for the good people of Kono after a few weeks of fast moving events. There was the Adamu wahala - two people killed, no investigation, no booking, no punishment - about 35 others arrested and brought to Freetown, a press release from the Kono diaspora and lots more. Now De Pa has shown Kono the light at the end of the tunnel. He shouted: “let there be light”, and there was light.

THE EFFICIENCY OF MUNU POLICE IS DEMONSTRATED IN TWO WAYS

When you do anything the police deem to be in the interest of the government, they turn a blind eye. Sometimes they even provide legal justification to support you. Their colleagues who were named in that Bo violence investigation would not be in uniform today if Munu Boys were really even-handed.

PEACE RETURNING TO PARLIAMENTARY GREEN MOVEMENT?

We can authoritatively reveal that in the last one week or so, we have picked up signals from the parliamentary Green Movement camp that they are actively seeking to make peace in their divided house. We have no reason to believe this will succeed because it is a déjà-vu – as we have witnessed many false starts in this direction. But one of the main guys is pleading with their members and the people of Sierra Leone who pay their salaries, to give them a chance to try this out.

SCENARIO ONE: A war veteran scales the fence at the White House in the USA for God knows what. But Obama and family were not harmed at all.

SECNARIO TWO: An ordinary man in the English city of Leeds crashes into Prime Minister Cameron as he left a meeting. The PM is a bit shaken but he turned up in parliament and cracked jokes about the incident.
