The grand final of the Fourahbay AmateurFootball Association (FAFA) none division league is scheduled to take place on Sunday 12th May 2013 at the Fourahbay field, with Med Mans FC locking horns with Ibrahim FC in the grand finale.
Med Mans sailed through to the final by defeating the tournament’sfavourite Pizzo FC by 1-0 in semi-finals, while Ibrahim FC also defeated Bonka FC by 1-0, to reach the finals.
Speaking to politico the head coach of Ibrahim FC, Ibrahim Sesay aka Anelka said that his boys deserved to go into the finals as they put up a very good performance against Bonka FC ‘’my boys played well and I am satisfied with their performance’’ when asked if they are going to win the championship he said that it is their priority to win the finals, as they have missed out on last season’s competition to Real Mack on a post-game penalty in the semi-finals, “we are looking forward to win this year’s championship by all cost, as this is going be the last competition for these boys as they are going to be graduated to the senior level” he insists.
According to the head coach of Med Mans FC Ishmael Pedro Koroma he said that they are happy to reach the finals for the first time as his team is a new one in the eastern community he attributed the good effort of the boys to entire executive of the club as they are working very hard to motivate this boys in every match they play, adding that they are determined to win the championship by all means possible as all modalities are in place to motivate the players to clinch the first trophy for the team in FAFA competition, he called on all supporters to come in their numbers to supports them to victory.
