Principals praise WAEC

By Septimus Senessie in Kono

The chairman of the Kono District Council of Principals, Mohamed Tamba Foday, who doubles as the Principal of the Islamic Secondary School has praised the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for making available early examination materials for thousands of pupil who entered for this year’s National Primary School Examination (NPSE).

Foday said the materials arrived in good time at all examination centres in the district “unlike last year’s examination in which the children had to write their exams under candle light or phone torch”. He said this year’s exams ended at around 3:30pm which he said was commendable.

The principal of the Koidu Secondary School, Tamba David Yamba also expressed similar sentiments during his pre-examination statements to pupils at his school compound. He admonished them to feel relaxed and confident.

Meanwhile, it not clear how many primary school pupils attempted this year’s NPSE in the district.
