As the Premier League reaches its 38 games played today, spectators are increasingly becoming restless especially with the non-performance of the so-called big clubs, East End Lions and Ports Authority who will go out to kill each other this evening at the national stadium.
The attempt by East End Lions (the Killers) to win their second match in the league last week was stopped by their rivals Kissy All Stars who scored deep into the second half. It remains to be seen how the dogfight between them and the Water Front boys, Ports Authority will play out.
Relegation threatened Ports Authority’s current form is doubtful for this evening’s encounter, after being held to a goalless draw by Horoya Athletic from Guinea in their CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg, over the weekend in Freetown.
The return of Coach Ajeena Sesay to East End Lions FC, whose 2008/09 unbeaten run in the premier league with the Killers’ should add depth to their game but they need to be wary of the Waterfront boys who want to prove that they are the best in the east.
