A retired Sierra Leone Army Major based in Uganda Bockarie Banya, has called for massive support for Bo Rangers F.C. as they currently occupy the 5th position in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League table. Banya made the statement via a phone interview to Politico sport.
Presenting two sets of football jerseys to the club, Major Banya’s wife Princess their family decided to do the donation because they are both from the southern region.
Mrs. Banya said that this is just the beginning of their dream as Sierra Leoneans based in Uganda “we are not making a promise, but we have more to do”, she noted.
Receiving the items, the Secretary General of Bo Rangers Abdulai Njaie, praised the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Banya, for their timely intervention in helping the team fight the title race in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League. He described the donation as a surprise.
Mr. Njaie also pleaded with other descendants of Bo, to follow the footsteps of the Banya family in supporting the club.
