The battle for the top spot in the Sierra Leone Premier League is intensifying with each passing day. Three clubs are in the running for the prestigious title - FC Kallon, Diamond Stars and the table’s surprise packet East End Lions.
The boys from the eastern district of Kono, Diamond Stars have been predicted as the clear-cut favourites for the trophy, FC Kallon have bagged the highest points during this round and they have been the most consistent side.
Lions struggled to reach this stage and they stand in the way of Kallon and Diamond Stars because a slip by any of their table top rivals could see them clinch this season’s trophy if they win their remaining four matches.
Today, Bo Rangers and Kamboi Eagles will play host to East End Lions and Mighty Blackpool respectively. In Freetown, FC Kallon and Diamond Stars are bent on winning to consolidate their positions when they play Gem Stars and Kissy All Stars.
Tomorrow, Ports Authority will fight it out with FC Johansen.
