Sierra Leone Representatives in this year’s CAF Competitions FC Johansen and Diamond Stars have returned home without a win after engaging their opponents in Liberia and Ivory Coast at the weekend.
The Champions of Sierra Leone, Diamond Stars who represented the country in the CAF Champions league were thrashed 5-1 by AFAD of Ivory Coast in Abidjan.
Fans across the country have expressed disappointment at the outcome of both matches, expressing doubts as to whether Diamond Stars can overturn the four goal deficit in the second leg schedule for 16th march in Freetown.
Most fans blamed the defeat of Diamond Stars on “poor preparation”.
For their part, FC Johansen who represented Sierra Leone the CAF confederation cup, losing 1-0 to BYC of Liberia, still have a good chance to win the home leg in two weeks’ time in Freetown.
