Referees vow to boycott FC Kallon matches

Members of the National Football Referees Organization have put on hold their officiating of all FC Kallon games involving both the male and female teams with immediate effect.

This was disclosed in a press release issued by the referees on the 20th  January, 2023.

Controversy rocks One Nation football tournament

Divisions have emerged among the ranks of Sierra Leone Premier League (SLPL) administrators over the proposed One Nation Football Tournament funded by the mining giant, Leone-Rock Metal.

According to Eric Batilo Fomba, head of media at the National Sports Authority, NSA, the two week tournament opens at the end of January 2023 in Makeni is part of programs under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portfolio of Leone Rock.

CAF suspends Kallon, Bah for indiscipline

The Confederation of African Football Association (CAF) has suspended Head Coach of FC Kallon, Mohamed Kallon and Team Doctor, Chernor Cidy Bah for their next four inter-club matches of CAF, for indiscipline.

The suspension came after FC Kallon’s confederation Cup away match defeat to Future FC of Egypt.

Lunsar cycling ends with a bang

The yearly Lunsar cycling that always showcases riders’ talents has ended in Kono.

Mohamed L. Kamara of the Lunsar Cycling Team emerged victorious for the men’s. Minkailu Malam Conteh and Sorie Koroma came second and third respectively. In  the women’s category, Blessing Jabbie from the Kono cycling team topped  after competing against three of her teammates .
