Some 600 participants in a motorcade of 250 Vehicles and 350 Motor Bikes in the Budapest-Bamako Rally will arrive in Freetown as their finishing line this weekend, the second time the event is hosted by Sierra Leone.

Director of Tourism, Mohamed Jalloh told Journalists during the weekly Government press briefing in Freetown that it is the largest amateur vehicle rally that creates room for people all over Europe to participate in Africa’s biggest humanitarian event.

The Secretary to the Women’s Premier League Board, Jennesy Matturi has during the weekly press briefing at the Ministry of Information and Communications at Youyi building on the 20^th October, 2022, urged young kids to play football.

According to her, in as much as they want young girls to play football, they as well want them to focus on their education which she said is something they will depend on at the end of their career.

The much- anticipated first ever national female football league kicked off on Saturday at the Wusum field in Makeni, an event that was witnessed by President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Bio and other dignitaries.  Mena Queens from Makeni engaged their counterparts Kahunla Queens from Kenema in league opener.

The first half  was an entertaining encounter between Mena Queens of Makeni and Kahunla Queens of Kenema that however ended nil- nil.

Former Bo Rangers forward, Musa Noah Kamara popularly known as Musa Tombo yesterday 13th October allegedly made an attempt on his life by stabbing himself with a knife.

Leone Stars suffered a 4-0 defeat in their friendly match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana at the FMB stadium. It was not just the score line but the performance that Leone Stars put up that has sparked angry reactions back home. It’s the worst ever performance by our national team many could recall in recent times. The team was disjointed, lacked energy, and commitment, in every aspect of the game.
