Sierra Leone FA speaks on the outcome of AFCON

The Ministry of Sports together with the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have updated journalists on the outcome of the Male National Leone Stars Team in their participation in the African Cup of Nations football tournament in Cameroon.

Lunsar to host African cyclists

The Lunsar Cycling Team has in a release confirmed that the Science in Sports Tour De Lunsar hosted in Sierra Leone will commence from the 25th to 27th March 2022 with participants from other parts of the world including other African countries and the United States of America.

According to the release, the event will showcase the prestigious talents of Sierra Leonean cyclists as they connect, learn, and impact their own knowledge onto other riders.

AFCON2021: Bio hails Leone Stars

President Julius Maada Bio has commended the outstanding performance of Sierra Leone’s national team, Leone Stars for an outstanding performance against the defending champions of AFCON; Algeria which marked the team’s first encounter in the tournament hosted in Cameroon.

Bo Rangers Fan Club gives  Le 100 Million to Leone Stars

Ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) tournament in Cameroon in 2022, members of Bo Rangers Fan Club on the 23rd December 2021 presented a cheque for One Hundred Million Leones (Le, 100,000,000) to the national football team Leone Stars as support.

The presentation took place at the Siaka Stevens Stadium’s practicing field in Freetown shortly after the national side’s training session.

AC Milan Foundation to open in Sierra Leone

The AC Milan Foundation is set to open a chapter in Sierra Leone.

The European football giant made this revelation to Sierra Leonean midfielder and former Milan player, Rodney Strasser during the celebration of the club’s 122 years of existence.

The 7-time European Champions also made a donation of football items to underprivileged children in Sierra Leone through the Rodney Strasser Foundation and promised to do more.

Sierra Leone FA empties FA Cup account

Politico can authoritatively reveal that the Sierra Leone Football Association has withdrawn the sum of Le 683, 250, 000 from the Government of Sierra Leone FA Cup account at the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank.

This was a special account authorized by the then Director of Sports, Dr. Kenneth Brima to disburse the sum of Le 720 million approved by the government of President Julius Maada Bio for the aborted FA Cup competition in 2019.
