Orthodox FC Secretary beats up football referee

The manager of first division football team Orthodox FC has condemned the behavior of the club’s Secretary General towards match officials after their team’s match against Eagles United on Friday 10th December at the main bowl of the Siaka Steven Stadium.

King David Kargbo said his management accepted that ‘Prince Samuel Coker (aka D Guru) attacked the match official and some tense argument ensued. The quarrel ended up in a fight between Prince and the match official. That fight resulted in some physical damage to the match official’.

Lions Head Coach resigns

East End Lions Head Coach  Ibrahim Sillah has resigned from his job. Details surrounding his resignation are not immediately known  but it happened at a  time  the Sierra Leone Premier League is on a break before the start of the second round of matches.

Lions in a  Press Release  have swiftly announced his replacement in the person of Mohammed  Lamin. Lions said they wished  Sillah “well in his future endeavours”. Lamin is Head Coach/ Team Manager , according to the Lions statement.

Kambui Eagles Manager Resigns

The Team Manager of Kambui Eagles Football club Mohamed S. Mansaray has resigned from his job.

He told Politico there has been too much misinformation from outsiders who claim money has been going into the club that has not been reflected in the players.

Yeami Dunia resigns from Lions

East End Lions captain, Yeami Dunia has on Wednesday 24th November this year resigned his position from the club.

“I have been attacked by fans when the team failed to register a win in matches,” the fullback said in his resignation letter to the Secretariat of the club.

Lions, who have been topping the Sierra Leone Premier League for months now dropped points, first with a 1 all draw against bottom club Mount Aureol SLIFA and recently lost by a goal to nil against Central Parade.

The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has provided Le 48,945,595,861 (Forty-eight billion, nine hundred and forty-five million, five hundred and ninety-five thousand and eight hundred and sixty-one cents) Leones to the country’s national football team Leone Stars as financial support in preparation for next year’s African Cup of Nations (AfCON) tournament in Cameroon.
