Diamond Stars and RSLAF fail to impress

Sierra Leon's two representatives to the CAF tournaments Diamond Stars and RSLAF have lost their opening matches. Diamond Stars were thrashed 6-0 away Raja Casablanca of Morocco the champions league while RSLAF were defeated at home soil by Gamtel of Gambia 1-0 in the CAF confederation cup.

The second legs of both matches are due next week.

Home debut for RSLAF in CAF tourney

The Republic Sierra Leone Armed Forces football team will play their first match in the CAF cup on the 8th of February in Freetown against Gamtel of The Gambia.

Head coach Ibrahim Tombo Bangura told Politico he was very happy to "reach these points for the very first time with a team that emerged from the Division One. Bangura said his team was "training hard as we prepare for this important tournament against Gamtel who've been taking part in this competition for the past years".

City and Cole Farm await COFA decision

Mountain City and Cole Farm are waiting for the Central One Football Association COFA to decide their fate following the violence that marred their quarter final match in the inter-area league at the Parade Grounds on Tuesday.

Conneh gets new contract ar Real Mack

John Victor Conneh has been offered a new and improved two-year contract at Division side, Real Mack. Football Club.

After signing the contract, Conneh told Politico he was "very happy to pen down a  two- year contract and I hope to see Real Mack in the top flight of Sierra Leone Football.

Salone FA Cup Scheduled for February

The Salone FA Cup is set to start next month nationwide according to the Head of Media and Communications at the Sierra Leone Football Association, John Konteh.

Konteh said that the competition would commence on 9 February in the provincial town of Bo and would continue with other team in other provincial towns and ending in the Western Area.

‘’Taking over Lions is a big challenge’’ Christian Cole

The newly appointed coach of East End Lions Football Club, Christian Cole, has said that taking over Lions is a big challenge.

He howeverpromised that he would do his best as expected from the executive and supporters of the Club.

‘’Coaching Lions at this point in time is a test but am ready to go through it as nothing comes without challenges’’,he said.

When asked about his first priority in the club, he said that he wanted to qualify the team to the CAF Competition next season.

Mountain City Vs Cole farm today

Mountain City will lock horns with Cole Farm Community in the ongoing Central One Football Association (COFA) inter community league quarter final stages.

Mountain City are the only Central community team left in the competition.They are going into this match unbeaten in all eight matches played.

Today’s encounter has been dubbed by supporters as a “clash of the titans” as both teams had outstanding players in their squad.
