BEING ON THE FIFA COUNCIL IS FINE BUT HERE IS THE TEST

We want Queen Johansen, our glorified member of the FIFA Council to tell this nation why CAF should NOT give the points from Wednesday’s abortive qualifier to Sierra Leone after Benin REFUSED to play because some of their players were found to be COVID positive. A press release we saw from the SLFA says absolutely nothing new. We hear they want to appeal against the postponement of the match to be played in June instead of CAF punishing Benin for clearly misbehaving in another man’s country.

BELEAGUERED MAYOR TO FACE THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER

Tolongbo people have not said a word in reaction to the silly statements their Mayor made about Mende people in that leaked audio that has gone viral. We stated in this column in the days following that leak that Tolongbo will NOT condemn their Mayor for showing so much hatred towards a particular tribe in this country. Their strategy is to hope and pray that the whole thing dies out quickly. This issue will not die as easily as they imagine.

WE WANT A MINISTRY FOR LAW AND ORDER NOW

 As per our mandate, we write on behalf of the decent and hardworking people of Sierra Leone and we feel compelled to repeat our call for Principal to hurriedly create a MINISTRY for LAW and ORDER. Whether he does that as part of a wider reshuffle of government or not is not our primary concern. The time is now for Principal to make a big statement about his abiding commitment to end lawlessness in this country. With that ministry created, the criminal in this country will know that the game has changed.  

WHAT A WAY TO REACH THE FIFA COUNCIL.

We now believe that it has always been Queen Johansen’s ambition since controversially taking over the SLFA, to enter FIFA. Johansen was brought to SLFA politics by people who were determined to do everything under the sun to keep Rodney Michael, the clear favorite then to succeed the tired and clueless Nahim Khadi away from Kingtom.  Johansen, who had publicly endorsed Michael, suddenly changed her tune and put her name forward for the job.
