SLRSA AND POLICE MUST ACT NOW TO REDUCE ACCIDENTS
Figures of deaths and injuries on our roads during 2020 are grim. Simply put, we are losing too many souls on our roads and the situation is unacceptable.

ARMED FORCES DAY: GOD BLESS OUR SECURITY FORCES
As a nation we should only say thanks to our security forces for keeping us safe so far from all modern day dangers like international terrorism and kidnappings. They have also played their part in national emergencies like floods, mudslides and fires. We are not the most secure country in the world but we thank God for his mercies and the work of our security forces.

A BIG SHAME IN THE HEART OF OUR CITY: WHERE IS SLRA?
We are waiting for SLRA to tell us what is really happening in the general area around Eastern Police station, one of the most chaotic places in the heart of this city. Have a look at the pictures below and tell me if somebody who has never been to Freetown would believe this is an area in a place as important as that. Traders and thousands of people commuting to and from work daily and law enforcement officers mix freely throughout the day as they go about their normal business around this hub.

WHEN PRINCIPAL MEETS ALPHA CONDE NEXT DOOR TODAY
Principal should be in the republic of Guinea by the time you read this. He is there to talk to president Alpha Conde about threats to the peace of both countries. Those threats come in the shape of the resumption of arguments over the ownership of the small border town of Yenga and the complete closure of the main border crossing at Kambia where a large group of migrant workers and goods pass between the two countries.

THREE MINISTRIES AWARDED BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OTHERS?
The other day Principal publicly singled out three ministries in his government for praise for doing an exemplary job for the good people of Sierra Leone. We agree with his conclusion that the ministries of Basic Education, Finance and Health, taking in NaCOVERC were the best performing. We congratulate those three ministries and wish them well in 2021.
