Coach Abdulai Kaloga of East End Lions FC says Kissy All Stars' equaliser against his team during today's National premiership encounter was “deserving”. Responding to post-match questions, Coach Kaloga said “they [Kissy All Stars] had a good game and their equalizer was a deserving one”, adding that the 1-1 outcome of the match was a disappointing result which he blamed on “defensive blunder and lack of commitment and focus” on the part of the players. EE Lions' Amara Kamara struck a beautiful corner kick that beat goalkeeper Unisa Koroma (Pepper) who dived the right way but was unable to get the ball. It led to a spirited finish from Osman Kamara (Yakayaki) in the 17th Minute. Both teams made brilliant passes at each other in the first half forcing the goalkeepers to exhibit flare, reflex and dexterity. Lions had more of the ball possession in the second half but could not convert their shots on target as Osman Kamara made brilliant saves. Lions looked happy to soak up the pressure and defend their lead, but the introduction of 82nd minute substitute Alhassan Bangura (Tabliq) seemed to spark the Kissy boys into life. Indeed! It led to them equalising in the 83rd minute when Alhassan Bangura sweetly struck a 25-yard half volley which flew into the top left corner while Alusine Koroma (Pagal) levelled matters, leaving goalkeeper Mohamed Jalloh (Sheik Sheik) unattended. Apparently satisfied with a draw Kissy All Stars Coach Raymond Lewis said that he felt “normal” after the match as he played against a bigger and better side. “Financially they are far above us and it is only God’s grace that is sustaining my side” he said before thanking his players whom he said “are living up to expectations”. He lamentably recalled his team's match against Old Edwardians saying it was a bad day that led to their 1-0 defeat which he blamed on defensive blunder. “But we are a better side than Edwards” he bragged.
