The newly appointed Leone Stars Team B Head Coach Francis ‘Zappa’ Koroma has invited 50 players for training ahead of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN), a tournament for home based footballers. Sierra Leone will play Cape Verde in July in the qualifying stage, for a tourney that will be hosted by Algeria.

Coach Zappa has invited players from reigning champions Bo Rangers, runners up East End Lions and FC Johansen.

Bo Rangers are the champions of the Sierra Leone Premier League just ended. Their sailing wasn’t that smooth all through and in fact at some point there was the feeling that arch rivals East End Lions would seize the opportunity of their stuttering in parts of the campaign, to come through.

The runaway leaders of the Sierra Leone Premier League were on Sunday crowned as the Champions of football in the country. 

Fresh from their 4-0 drubbing of Central Parade at the Bo mini-stadium, to go 16 points clear of their nearest rivals East End Lions, Bo Rangers were presented with the trophy at a colorful ceremony.

Ahead of the weekend match, the hosts were treated to a guard of honour by Central Parade FC.

The General Secretary of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Chris Kamara has been suspended from office for 14 days for what the Ethics Board of the association says are his actions that have prevented or obstructed the activities of the board.

A letter from the board dated 11^th February, 2022 and addressed to Kamara, accused him of breaching provisions of the Ethics Code and Regulations and demanded a written explanation from him within 72 hours.

The Ministry of Sports together with the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have updated journalists on the outcome of the Male National Leone Stars Team in their participation in the African Cup of Nations football tournament in Cameroon.

The Lunsar Cycling Team has in a release confirmed that the Science in Sports Tour De Lunsar hosted in Sierra Leone will commence from the 25th to 27th March 2022 with participants from other parts of the world including other African countries and the United States of America.

According to the release, the event will showcase the prestigious talents of Sierra Leonean cyclists as they connect, learn, and impact their own knowledge onto other riders.
