Sierra Leone lifts ban on sports

The Ministry of Sports (MOS) and the National Sports Authority (NSA) have last Monday 4th January lifted the ban on all sporting activities across the country after an engagement with the National COVID-19 Response Centre (NaCOVERC).

SLFA warns Michael against "Defamatory Comments"

In a press release issued on Monday, the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has warned recently declared Association Presidential aspirant, Rodney Michael to desist from all forms of false, malicious and defamatory statements directed at SLFA, members of its executive, CAF and FIFA.

Days before kick-off in Freetown Draw for WAFU U-17 tournament postponed

The much anticipated draw for the West Africa Football Union (WAFU ) U-17 tournament that was to have taken place on Monday 7th December has been postponed. The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) in a press release stating the postponement, did not give reasons for that, or any new date, but said it will be communicated to the public in due course. Home Suites hotel at Aberdeen in Freetown was where the draw would have taken place.

Rodney Michael and Six others cleared of any wrong doing!

 Seven people have been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Ethics Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) as contained in Press release issued yesterday.  The most notable figure among them is Key footballer stakeholder Rodney Michael who is vying for the Presidency of the FA.

Law Society annual tournament kicks off

The Law Department of Fourah Bay College will kick off its annual Inter-Class Football Gala tournament today at the X-ray Arena, SS Camp and continues tomorrow.

Before this time, the Law Society had received some football items donated to them by the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) which also provided them with match officials to officiate in the competition.

Sierra Leone up in latest FIFA rankings

Sierra Leone’s national team Leone Stars are now up 116th position from the previous 120th  standing , according to the  November 26th FIFA rankings.

John Keister's men moved up to four places in the ranking released by the world football governing body.
