Technical Institute Kenema observes maiden matriculation

The Government Technical Institute in Kenema has held its first matriculation ceremony since it was established in 2019.  The event was held at the Institute’s campus off Dorwaila Reservation on 31 March 2021.

The Chairman of the ceremony Alphajor Bah described the matriculation of the students as the first step in pursuing their courses as education is strongest weapon one can use to transform the life of individuals and the society as whole.

I have been following with avid interest recent events on social media especially the furore surrounding our Senior Men's national football team, Leone Stars. It ranges from the official/unofficial delegation list of people travelling to the Lesotho match, the Press Release from the Ministry of Finance regarding the amount approved and disbursed to the NSA/MOS, the Press Release from the SLFA making clarifications in respect of the said Press Release to the lack lustre performance of our boys in the scoreless match against Lesotho.

Bo FA Congratulates Isha Johansen

CAF bans Sierra Leone's national stadium

Sierra Leone football has suffered another setback after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Saturday 27 February 2021, banning the use of the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown for international matches including the pending African Cup of Nations home tie against Benin.

Sierra Leone FA president extends her mandate

The Sierra Leone Football Association SLFA has postponed its Elective Congress originally scheduled for the end of this month in the northern headquarter town of Makeni without stating a new date for the long-awaited Congress.

According to a statement issued by the body, the decision to suspend the Congress was taken after reviewing the work of their judicial bodies so far and correspondences from the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the world football governing body, FIFA.
