THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SONGO-MOYAMBA ROAD

Soon we will be driving on a very good road from Songo Junction to the MABANG BRIDGE. Thanks to the government of Sierra Leone and the European Union. We don’t know the intricacies of how the EU funds those projects but we were told that the funding was initially earmarked for the MABANG BRIDGE but they probably saved some of the cash from the bridge project to be able to do the stretch of road leading to the bridge from the Freetown Masiaka Highway.

We saw the picture on social media of a prison warder being stripped down to his underpants by his colleagues to discover a load of KUSH which we were told he was attempting to smuggle into the prison yard. Obviously he wanted to sell it to inmates. People are outraged that even with a State of Emergency in place and a huge national outcry over the devastating consequences of KUSH smoking; we have a prison warder using extraordinary measures to take the banned substance to a prison yard.
