GARBAGE EVERYWHERE BUT THE MAYOR SMILES ON

We have for over a dozen times in this column talked about indiscriminate waste disposal in the  city of Mayor Kemokai but it seems the situation is not limited to this city or even Bo where we recently reported a similar situation. Our Mayor says the recent fuel shortage caused garbage not to be collected. We don’t want to have any big argument with the Mayor but she knows that is far from the truth. We live in Freetown and we know what we are talking about. 

We wish you a Merry Christmas in advance our smiling Mayor Kemokai of FCC. Please don’t go home to the UK this year to enjoy a white Christmas. Stay with us in this “transformed Freetown” so that we can all enjoy your output over the last FOUR YEARS. We will come to that in one of our last editions for this year. FCC MAYOR HAS LOST HER WAY WITH STREET BEGGING

In her early days in office our Smiling Mayor Kemokai tried to do something about the hundreds of beggars on our streets especially those near the Cotton Tree in central Freetown. That project showed a few signs of success but quickly went into oblivion. Four years on, Smiling Mayor Kemokai has completely lost control of whatever she initiated – the people are still around the Cotton Tree, in fact their numbers have increased.
