FSSG BROOKFIELDS IS SLOWLY BEING TAKEN OVER

We know that all secondary schools should have governing boards. The usual practice is for the Ministry of Education to appoint the members from among institutions and past pupils of the school in question. This is normally a powerful body with a mandate to watch the school and ensure the learning environment is conducive and that teachers deliver their courses well and on time. So they are very powerful indeed.

GOOD MORNING ACC: WHAT ABOUT JENDEMA AND LUNGI AIRPORT?

The ACC is doing a great job. We join many other Sierra Leoneans who share this view. Those who believe the contrary are free to do so. In the end we will use the outcome of ACC operations to convince them that without ACC our country would sink into the cesspit of corruption and die. That said we want to ask questions about two cases the ACC has been investigating for a few months. We just don’t want them to forget about those cases or drop them without telling us what actually happened.

SLFA CONGRESS IN KENEMA – THE FARCE AND THE COMING FIASCO IN MAKENI

We have no option but to tell the SLFA how disappointed the whole nation is with the farce they call a delegates’ conference which took place Kenema last weekend. Those of us who thought that after all these years of turmoil, arising from rigged electoral mandates, disenfranchisement of whole regions, politically-motivated sackings at the SLFA, FIFA suspension of Sierra Leone, court cases and all that, things will simmer down in the SLFA are now thoroughly disappointed. Yes indeed we are.

WHEN WILL OUR PARLIAMENT DEBATE THE AUDITOR GENERAL’S REPORT?

We are respectfully reminding our parliament that we are still waiting to witness the debate of the Auditor General’s report. We don’t know how much longer we should wait though. Is there anything our representatives want to tell us about the delay and the growing suspicion that an attempt is being made to avoid debating the document in any substantial way?

YELLOW CARD DISAPPEARS FROM PRINCIPAL’S BACK POCKET

From another ministerial retreat came another cryptic comment from Principal. Principal talks very little and smiles sparingly. He is reported to have told ministers and parastatal bosses that he has lost his “yellow card” and that he will be more “intrusive” as from now on in the running of what we call MDAs – Ministries, Departments and Agencies in this country. Well, there were some dry smiles across the room masking anxiety for some and resignation for others.

HOW TO SPEND ANTONIO RUDIGER’S EDUCATION MONEY

Now, it’s beginning to look as if as soon as Principal lands in London these days he finds a Sierra Leonean that is doing extremely well in the diaspora to step forward and tell the world they feel part of the country and would like to help in any way they can to turn the narrative of Sierra Leone around. First it was Actor Idriss Elba and now it’s Antonio Rudiger who plays for London side, Chelsea.

FAKE TICKETS SCANDAL ROCK BO RANGERS FC KALLOM MATCH

This last thing we want is to get confirmation from our usually very reliable sources that indeed fake tickets were sold at the Bo Stadium for the match between Bo Rangers and FC Kallon. The reports we received on the evening after the match suggest that indeed fake tickets entered the market, causing significant loss of revenue to the home team. The stadium was packed and ordinary tickets were sold at TEN THOUSAND LEONES.
