Tambo trophy at stake

Sixteen teams are set to compete in the first edition of the Lawyer Osman Abdal Timbo football competition scheduled to take place on the 14th of December at Murray Town field. According to the sponsor, the competition aims to bring youth in the constituency 111 into "a good and lasting relationship among themselves" and create a friendly atmosphere amongst players as they show case their talent.

Timbo said he joined Murray Town football association to help in organizing the tournament as "their intention is very good".

Big help from Zogoda

A popular club known as Zogoda intellectuals over the weekend donated football equipment and money to five football clubs within the Kissy Community in the east of Freetown.

For attacking a referee, COFA may ban Susan's Bay

The chairman of the Central One Football Association, COFA, Sama Sesay has told Politico that a committee will be set up soon to investigate an incident in which supporters of Susan's Bay community physically attacked a referee during a league match at Parade Grounds. He said the committee will study the referee's match report.
